Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 80 years old
- Doctors suspect an acute ischemic stroke affecting a large artery (examples: trouble speaking, ignoring one side, vision field cut, or gaze preference)
- You were checked for rtPA (clot-busting medicine), and if eligible, you received it
- Your symptom score (NIHSS) is between 6 and 20
- A CT scan at the first hospital shows no bleeding in or around the brain
