Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are currently critically ill and on a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation)
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for more than 3 days
  • You are in the ICU after an operation (postoperative)
  • Your overall health status is high risk (ASA class III or higher)
  • You are not being kept alive only for comfort (no comfort care)
