Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with tonsil squamous cell cancer that is stage early (T1–2), spread to none or limited lymph nodes, and has not been treated before.
  • Your cancer plan is mainly one-sided (same side) radiation with curative intent, and any surgery (if needed) is only for rescue, not planned as the main treatment.
  • You are well enough to do daily activities (performance status 0–1).
  • You can understand the study and agree by signing written consent.
  • Your doctors do not expect you to need both sides radiation or chemotherapy for your situation.
