Who can take part

  • You can sign consent and follow study instructions.
  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have confirmed low or intermediate-1 risk MDS (or MDS/MPN) that needs treatment because of low blood counts.
  • Your kidneys and liver labs are adequate (kidney clearance ≥60, and liver enzymes below 3× the usual limit).
  • Your heart tests are acceptable and your performance status (energy/function) is 0–2.
  • If you had the non-5q or del(5q) form, you must have tried specific prior drugs and not responded or lost response.
