Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Your brain bleed (intracerebral hemorrhage) was confirmed by CT or MRI
  • You can start the study between about 2 weeks and 6 months after the bleed
  • You have non-valvular atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter (an irregular heart rhythm) confirmed by ECG or prior history
  • If you can get pregnant, you must use very reliable birth control
  • You must be able to sign an informed consent form (or have a legal representative sign)
