Who can take part

  • You are 19 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation that is not caused by a heart valve problem.
  • You have had a recent stroke (within the last 5 days) confirmed by an MRI scan.
  • You have significant narrowing or a plaque buildup in a brain or neck artery that likely caused the stroke.
  • You are able and willing to give written permission to join the study.
