Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older
- Have newly diagnosed oropharyngeal squamous cell cancer confirmed by biopsy
- Have not had any anti-cancer treatment for this cancer before starting (no prior chemo or surgery for it)
- Be well enough to take treatment (performance status score 2 or less) and have blood, liver, and kidney test results in safe ranges
- Have mild (or no) nerve problems and hearing issues (both grade 1 or less)
- Be able to complete questionnaires and swallow tests, and be willing to sign consent
