Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are having a heart attack called STEMI and are getting the primary PCI procedure within 12 hours of symptom onset
- During the procedure, doctors see a large clot burden (TIMI thrombus grade 3 or higher) after the wire crosses the blockage
- You can give voluntary informed consent (you choose to join)
- You have no signs of shock or unstable blood pressure (no cardiogenic shock)
- You have not had clot-busting medicine (thrombolysis) before this procedure
