Who can take part
- Your recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer was confirmed by biopsy or imaging
- The recurrence is an early stage (T1 or T2) and has not spread to distant organs
- You’re between 18 and 70 years old
- You previously had one round of radiation, but no radiation or local treatment for the recurrence within the last year
- The recurrence can be treated either with surgery or with IMRT as decided by the study doctors
- Your overall health is good enough for treatment (ECOG 0–1) and your organ tests are acceptable
