Who can take part
- You have a type of throat cancer called squamous cell carcinoma of the nasopharynx that has come back (recurrent).
- Your cancer is at least stage T2b (a certain size or spread) and/or has spread to lymph nodes in the neck.
- You are physically active enough that your doctor rates your daily function as 0 or 1 on a standard scale.
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your doctors expect you to live at least 6 more months and you are healthy enough to handle radiation and chemotherapy.
