Who can take part
- You are an adult (18+; in Nebraska, 19+).
- Your brain metastases are from a solid cancer, and you have up to 4 brain tumors (each up to 4 cm) with surgery planned for at least one spot.
- You have a planned Gliadel placement for only one surgical site.
- You must be well enough to undergo surgery (Karnofsky Performance Status above 60) and have a survival time of at least 3 months.
- Your blood test results for bleeding/clotting must be safe for surgery (INR 1.3 or less), and you must be able to have MRI scans.
- If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test within 7 days of starting.
