Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older
- Your cancer must be squamous cell cancer in the oropharynx (tonsil area or tongue base)
- Your tumor should be early stage: T1–T2 and no or limited neck lymph node spread (N0–N1)
- You must be well enough to do daily activities (rated 0–2) and be able to attend follow-up visits
- Your medical team must have p16 or HPV (virus) test results for your tumor
- You must be able to undergo or complete the planned radiation follow-up and complete questionnaires
