Fresh cartilage graft study for large knee joint damage

Who can take part

  • You have a knee cartilage/“cartilage plus underlying bone” problem being treated with a fresh osteochondral allograft transplant
  • Your defect is large (bigger than 2 square centimeters) and is in specific knee areas like the thigh bone, shin bone surface, kneecap area, or groove for the kneecap
  • The knee problem is not due to advanced widespread arthritis affecting most compartments of the knee
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or less
  • You do not have active infection and you can give written consent
