Who can take part
- You are between 1 month and under 60 years old
- Your doctors believe a stem cell transplant (HSCT) is appropriate, and you have serious blood disease that could benefit
- Your health is stable enough (expected to live more than 10 weeks, and heart/kidney/liver function are within limits)
- A compatible donor is required, with at least a 5 out of 10 match, and specific match at HLA gene sites (A, B, C, DQB1, DRB1)
- You do not have certain exclusions like pregnancy or a prior transplant, and you don’t have uncontrolled infections
- You (or a parent/guardian) can give consent, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to effective birth control
