Who can take part

  • You’re over 18 and can either be healthy or be an adult with a brain blood-vessel condition
  • You can have an MRI without sedation and can follow instructions to stay still and breathe as directed
  • You are not taking stimulant medicines
  • You have no seizure history and no psychiatric history (no psychiatrist evaluation for treatment and no antidepressant use)
  • You are not taking medicines that widen blood vessels, such as sildenafil or verapamil
  • You do not have significant breathing or blood-acid problems (your study team checks breathing tests and blood chemistry)
