Who can take part
- You’re age 18 to 70, and you have primary myelofibrosis or secondary myelofibrosis
- Your risk level is intermediate-1, intermediate-2, or high (measured by a standard risk score)
- You must be a good candidate for a stem cell transplant based on your overall health and ability to consent
- You must be able to take a JAK inhibitor for at least 8 weeks before transplant and continue for 9–12 months if tolerated
- Your heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs must meet safety thresholds (for example, kidney function needs to be sufficient, and you can’t need oxygen)
- A suitable donor must be available, and you must not have certain infections or prior transplants
