Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older, and your health limits on transplant risk are mild (HCT-CI score 5 or less if age over 60)
- You have AML, or MDS/CMML that has come back or did not respond to prior treatment (and you may still qualify even if blasts are low but tests show “minimal residual disease”)
- You can have previously had certain chemo, including a hypomethylating medicine (azacitidine/decitabine) for MDS/CMML and it has stopped working as defined by the study
- You can have a donor identified for a stem cell transplant (matched or near-matched related/unrelated donor, or a compatible half-matched/“haploidentical” relative)
- Your heart, lung, liver, and kidney function tests meet the trial’s safety cutoffs (and you are generally active enough: ECOG 0–1)
- You can sign consent, avoid pregnancy during the study and for 12 months after transplant, and you are not taking another leukemia treatment during the trial
