Who can take part
- You are 30 to 80 years old
- Your blood pressure stays high despite 3 blood pressure medicines, including a water pill (diuretic), taken at the right dose
- Your blood pressure is confirmed at home (average at least 135/85) or with 24-hour monitoring (average at least 130/80)
- Your blood count is adequate (hemoglobin at least 12 g/dL)
- You can safely use the study medicines based on pregnancy risk and other medical restrictions
