Who can take part

  • Your child must have a confirmed malignant brain tumor that has progressed after prior standard treatment, and it must be measurable on scans after at least 12 weeks.
  • Tumor tissue must show IL13Rα2 positivity (the study lab confirms the marker on biopsy tissue).
  • Child must be able to carry out daily activities fairly well (Karnofsky 60% or higher, with flexibility if limited mainly by disease-related mobility issues).
  • Recent blood tests must be safe enough: platelets at least 50,000, liver tests (bilirubin/ALT/AST) under set limits, and kidney function adequate (creatinine clearance ≥ 75).
  • No serious breathing, heart, kidney failure (no dialysis), or uncontrolled seizure problems right before treatment; no active infection and no oxygen needed to keep levels >95%.
  • Treatment timing must fit: enough time since last chemotherapy/radiation/targeted drugs, and enough time between the immune “wash-out” periods.
