Who can take part
- You must be an adult age 18 to 80 with a consciousness problem (not fully awake for a period of time)
- Your brain injury must be visible on CT or MRI, such as after trauma, lack of oxygen (anoxia), or stroke
- You should not currently be deeply sedated (for example, not in a medically induced deep-sleep state)
- You should not have a severe known brain-wasting disease, like Alzheimer’s
- You must not be pregnant
