Who can take part
- You have nasopharyngeal cancer confirmed by lab testing (pathology or cytology).
- Your cancer has primarily spread (metastatic stage IVB) and can’t be treated with curative local treatment like focused radiation or surgery.
- You have not had prior whole-body (systemic) treatment for metastatic NPC, except certain chemotherapy given before/around diagnosis timing.
- You can do most daily activities (Karnofsky score is at least 70; sometimes 50 is allowed if lowered because of the tumor).
- You have at least one measurable tumor spot on scan that has not had local treatment like radiation.
- Your blood tests and organ function must meet safety thresholds (white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin, liver enzymes/bilirubin, and kidney filtration).
