Who can take part
- You are age 40 or older.
- You have chronic HFpEF: heart failure symptoms needing water pills (diuretics) for over 30 days, and your heart failure has been at least moderate in the past year.
- You meet one of these “heart failure severity” checks: a recent heart-failure hospital stay, high NT-proBNP/BNP blood tests, or a right-heart pressure test showing high pressures.
- Your heart pumping strength is preserved: left-ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) is at least 50% on an echo within the last 6 months.
- Your heart medicines have been stable for at least 30 days (with certain limits on big dose changes), and you have not started or stopped certain weight-loss medicines (GLP-1/GIP) around the study dates.
