New MRI methods for heart failure with preserved pumping function

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You need to be able to give your own consent to join the study.
  • If you have HFpEF, you must have a formal diagnosis and be safe to have an MRI.
  • You cannot have metal implants, certain heart valves, or other MRI-unsafe devices.
  • You cannot be pregnant, have claustrophobia that can't be managed, or have severe kidney disease (GFR less than 30).
  • If you need a stress agent during MRI, you must not be allergic to adenosine or regadenoson, and avoid caffeine for 12 hours before.
