Who can take part

  • You have a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease that fits standard “idiopathic” criteria
  • You are older than 18
  • Your levodopa “challenge test” shows you respond well (over 24% improvement)
  • Your Parkinson’s stage is mild to moderate (Hoehn-Yahr stage 2 to 4) while taking your usual meds
  • You can agree to join by signing informed consent
  • You do not have conditions that could affect surgery safety or follow-up testing (like prior stroke or certain brain scan changes)
