Who can take part

  • You have diabetic nerve damage causing reduced feeling in your foot, or a diabetes-related lower-limb amputation
  • You can walk and stand using a prosthesis or brace
  • Your leg nerves can be tested and are likely to respond based on clinic nerve tests
  • Your skin is healthy, with no pressure sores or current ulcers, and you can maintain good hygiene
  • You do not have serious conditions that make stimulation unsafe (such as certain heart problems, active infections, or seizure disorders)
  • You can follow the study schedule, have support at home, and can communicate in English
