This study tests whether a spinal cord stimulator (a device that uses mild electrical pulses to block pain signals) can help people with diabetic nerve pain that hasn't responded to other treatments. Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have diabetic peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes) that hasn't gotten better with gabapentin/pregabalin and at least one other pain medicine.
  • You've had pain in your lower legs or feet for at least 1 year.
  • Your average pain level is at least 4 out of 10.
  • You are willing to have a surgery to place a spinal cord stimulator (a device that sends electrical pulses to block pain) and pass a mental health check before surgery.
