Who can take part

  • You have confirmed lung cancer (small-cell or non-small cell).
  • You are being referred for radiation meant to cure the cancer, not just shrink symptoms.
  • Your planned radiation is around 60–66 Gy, in 2-gram daily doses (other schedules may be allowed if your clinic uses them).
  • You can be receiving chemotherapy at the same time as radiation (this is allowed).
  • If you have limited spread to a few places, those spots must be fully treated (for example with surgery or targeted radiation).
  • You are an adult (18+) and can agree to the study in writing.
