Who can take part

  • You are age 40 or older
  • Your brain scan (CTA) was done 6 to 24 hours after symptoms started
  • The bleeding is from spontaneous (not caused by injury or known vessel problem) deep brain tissue, and the bleed is bigger than 25 mL
  • Your initial awareness level score (GCS) is between 9 and 15
  • You have some new movement weakness (motor deficit) and were fully independent before the bleed (mRS 0–1)
