DTI-guided minimally invasive surgery for deep brain bleeding

Who can take part

  • Be 18 to 80 years old.
  • Have a CT-confirmed brain bleed in the basal ganglia (not other brain areas like the brainstem/thalamus/cerebellum).
  • Bleeding volume is about 20–40 mL, and the brain’s middle line is shifted less than 3 mm.
  • The bleed started within 24 hours and you can be randomized soon after onset.
  • MRI shows the key nerve pathway (corticospinal tract) is partly intact (graded 2 to 4).
  • You are medically stable enough for the trial: GCS score 4 or higher, and leg/arm muscle strength in the affected limb is level 3; you (or a legal representative) can consent.
