Dupilumab study for clearing mucus in moderate to severe asthma

Who can take part

  • Be over 18 years old
  • Have moderate to severe asthma that looks like “type 2” asthma and is not well controlled (Asthma Control Test score under 20)
  • Meet specific lung function and breathing test cutoffs (like FEV1 under 90% predicted and FEV1/FVC under 75%)
  • Have evidence of “type 2” airway inflammation from blood and breath markers (eosinils over 300, and FeNO over 25)
  • Have needed medium-to-high dose inhaled steroid treatment for asthma (at least fluticasone-equivalent 500 mcg/day)
  • Not have used dupilumab before, and avoid certain asthma medicines like anti–IL-5 drugs
