Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 60 years old
  • Have health insurance and be able to sign informed consent
  • Have a diagnosis that meets research criteria for schizophrenia or depression
  • Do not have a major medical condition that is not stable
  • Avoid recent brain-related conditions or events like stroke or major brain surgery
  • For patients: avoid benzodiazepines; for controls: avoid psychotropic medicines in the last 3 weeks
