This study tests a new way to apply brain stimulation called TMS while watching your brain activity in real time, tailored to your personal brain state. It is for people who still have arm or hand weakness at least 6 months after a stroke.

Who can take part

  • You had a stroke at least 6 months ago that still causes weakness or trouble moving your arm or hand.
  • You do not have any other brain disease or injury besides stroke.
  • You can understand and agree to be in the study (mini mental exam score > 24).
  • You do not have metal implants or devices in your head or neck (like pacemakers or brain stimulators).
  • You have not had a seizure in the last year, and no other TMS safety risks apply.
