Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are generally able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score 70 or higher)
  • You have one new brain (cerebrum or cerebellum) metastasis that can be fully removed with surgery
  • Before surgery and/or during surgery, tests confirm it is a metastasis from a non-brain cancer
  • The tumor is far enough from the optic nerves/eye pathway and brainstem to be safely treated
  • You can safely receive anesthesia, surgery, MRI, and contrast dye (if needed), and you can follow study instructions
