Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be able and willing to sign informed consent.
  • You should not have atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat).
  • You should not have a pacemaker that actively sets your heartbeat (no “pacing” as the main rhythm).
  • You should not have known major heart problems, such as significant high blood pressure or heart failure.
  • You must not have been an inpatient (stayed overnight in the hospital) within the last 4 weeks.
