Who can take part

  • You are under the age limit: stroke or Parkinson’s under 80; multiple sclerosis under 60
  • Your thinking/memory test score is above 24 on the Mini-Mental State Exam
  • Your condition affects walking and your walking problem is noticeable (gait parameters are impaired)
  • Your disease has been stable for a required time window (for stroke/MS: not changing for at least 6 months)
  • You can walk without braces/orthotics or walking aids, even though your walking pattern is abnormal
  • Your leg stiffness from spasticity is not too high (Ashworth score must be under 2)
