Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older
  • You have a proven cancer mass in the chest/thorax that is planned for radiation (with or without chemotherapy)
  • Your radiation plan is expected to expose part of your heart to at least 25 Gray (a dose measure)
  • If you can become pregnant: you must have a negative pregnancy test within 2 weeks before the scans
  • You must be able to sign consent and complete the imaging and blood test parts of the study
  • You should be able to lie flat (on your back) for at least 45 minutes during scanning
