Prebiotics for gut health in young people with type 1 diabetes
Part of Hormones & metabolism, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.
This trial studies whether taking prebiotics can change gut bacteria (gut microbiome) in people with type 1 diabetes. The goal is to see if these gut changes are linked to better health or diabetes-related outcomes.

This study looks at children who have just started insulin for new-onset type 1 diabetes. It aims to test an intervention early in the course of the disease, which may help change how the immune system and diabetes progress.
This Phase 2 study looks at the gut microbiome (the bacteria in your intestines) in youth with type 1 diabetes, and how metformin may work differently through the gut. It may help researchers understand mechanisms and future treatment options.
This study tests whether a special treatment aimed at gut bacteria can help children newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It is for kids ages 6 to 12 who were diagnosed in the last 6 months and do not have other serious health conditions.
This trial tests whether transplanting healthy bacteria into your gut can improve memory and thinking skills in people with long-term type 1 diabetes. If you have had type 1 diabetes for 10 years or more, this study may help find a new way to protect your brain.
This study tests how an oral nutritional supplement affects the gut microbiome in people with type 2 diabetes. It uses a special capsule (SIMBA) to collect samples, and researchers want to see if the supplement leads to changes in your gut bacteria.
This study tests whether taking a special capsule with prebiotics (a type of fiber that feeds good gut bacteria) changes the gut microbiome in healthy people without digestive conditions. You'll take the capsule for a short time and provide samples to measure changes.
