Ultrasound-guided breathing strategy for new focal ARDS

Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You started a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation) less than 24 hours ago.
  • Your ARDS is new (diagnosed within the last 24 hours) and meets the trial’s ARDS breathing/oxygen criteria.
  • Ultrasound of your lungs shows “focal” ARDS (localized areas, not widespread).
  • You can give consent (or you were enrolled in an emergency).
