Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You need to have an emergency room diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism.
  • Your pulmonary embolism must be confirmed on CT scan imaging.
  • You must be able to understand the study and sign informed consent.
  • You should not be currently incarcerated.
  • Your pulmonary embolism should be new at this ER visit (not already diagnosed before you arrived).
