Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older (or, for some records, a past patient)
- Your liver tumor(s) must be too hard to remove surgically
- You can have up to five liver tumors, and the largest is at least 3 cm
- The tumors must be close to major blood vessels and/or sensitive areas (like bowel, stomach, diaphragm, bile ducts)
- Your tumor blood supply/access must be difficult, and/or there must be a high shunt risk to other vital organs
- You generally can’t have unsafe health factors (active infection, very poor liver function tests, low platelets, or blood clotting that’s too weak)
