This study tests an adaptive brain stimulation device to help restore better sleep in people with Parkinson’s disease. You may be eligible if your Parkinson’s motor symptoms are severe despite best medical treatment and you are already being considered for a specific deep brain stimulation surgery.

Who can take part
- You can sign consent and are between 18 and 80 years old (19–80 in Nebraska).
- You have Parkinson’s disease with motor symptoms for at least 4 years.
- Your symptoms are severe despite the best available Parkinson’s medicines, and your team is already recommending deep brain stimulation surgery for the subthalamic area (STN DBS).
- Your Parkinson’s symptom scores fit the study range (including specific tremor patterns) and medicines make your symptoms improve by at least 30% as measured in clinic.
- Your brain MRI is normal enough to allow surgery, and testing shows no major cognitive problems or significant depression.
- You can follow up only at the study site for up to about 9 years and you are able to use/recharge the device.
