Who can take part

  • You have an idiopathic Parkinson’s diagnosis confirmed by specific criteria
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • Your symptoms change with Parkinson medicine (or you already have the stimulator)
  • Your response to levodopa is very strong (over 50% improvement in testing)
  • You can safely have an MRI scan (no unsafe metal/implants, not claustrophobic, not pregnant)
  • You have no dementia (screening score must be at least 24 out of 30)
