Who can take part
- You are age 18 to 85.
- You had a ruptured aneurysm bleed (subarachnoid hemorrhage) that was confirmed and then treated with clipping or coiling.
- You must be able to start treatment within 72 hours of the aneurysm rupture.
- Your current brain alertness score (mGCS) is at least 10, and your symptoms are in Hunt Hess grade 1 to 4.
- You cannot have certain heart rhythm problems (like heart block, dangerous fast rhythms, or atrial fibrillation) and cannot have a pacemaker/defibrillator/deep brain stimulator or other stimulation device.
- No metal devices/screws in the neck, no prior neck surgery or radiation, and no carotid artery disease or carotid surgery.
