Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You are being treated at Sheffield Teaching Hospital
  • You had a specific type of brain bleed (aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage) confirmed by imaging
  • Your aneurysm was secured (coiled or surgically repaired) within the last 5 days
  • You have never used a vagus nerve stimulator before
  • You do not have a very slow heart rate, a pacemaker, or a complete heart block, or another implanted electrical device
