Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have established coronary artery disease or one or more metabolic conditions (such as type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, obesity, chronic kidney disease, high uric acid, or high cholesterol).
  • If you have type 2 diabetes, you meet usual lab or treatment standards (for example HbA1c, fasting glucose, or blood sugar after a glucose test, or you already take diabetes medicines).
  • You do not have severe liver failure (Child-Pugh B or C).
  • You do not have severe anemia (hemoglobin under 60 g/L) or familial (inherited) high cholesterol.
