Who can take part
- You are 3 to 35 years old
- Your aplastic anemia is “refractory,” meaning it didn’t improve after at least one course of anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) immune treatment
- You do NOT have an identical donor or a fully matched 10/10 donor, but you DO have a half-matched donor (haploidentical) such as a parent, sibling, adult child, or cousin
- You should not have strong antibodies against the donor’s type (donor-specific antibodies; test result MFI must be below 1500)
- Your heart, liver, and kidney tests must be good enough for high-dose cyclophosphamide (plus no severe uncontrolled infection)
- If you can become pregnant or cause pregnancy: you must use reliable birth control during the study and for several months after the last cyclophosphamide dose
