Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Your spinal cord injury must be stable and not getting worse
  • Your injury level must be from the neck area C3 to T1, and it must be classified as A, B, or C
  • Your injury must have happened at least 24 months (2 years) ago
  • Your breathing (lung) function must be noticeably reduced—at least a 15% deficit
  • You must be able to participate safely in a breathing/respiratory training program
