Who can take part

  • You have pancreatic cancer confirmed by biopsy or cancer cells; sometimes imaging plus a blood test called CA 19-9 can be enough
  • Your cancer is locally advanced and not removable by curative surgery (for example, it involves key nearby vessels or major arteries)
  • There’s no spread to distant organs (no distant metastasis)
  • You’re 18 or older and well enough to handle treatment (Karnofsky score 70 or higher)
  • Your tumor is not growing into the stomach or duodenum
  • You can consent, and you’re able to safely receive radiation (no pregnancy/breastfeeding, and no prior abdominal radiation)
