This study looks at whether certain accidental adrenal gland growths found on scans are linked to having had a stroke. It may help doctors understand stroke risk factors and how adrenal findings should be interpreted.

Who can take part
- You have had a stroke such as cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage, or subarachnoid hemorrhage
- If you have an adrenal incidentaloma (adrenal growth found by chance), it must be at least 1 cm
- The adrenal finding must be an adenoma (not a cyst, hemorrhage, or myelolipoma)
- You do not have metastatic cancer that has spread
- In the past 3 months, you have not taken repeated (more than one dose) by-mouth steroid medicine
- You have not used inhaled steroids or medicines that affect dexamethasone breakdown, and you are not on systemic estrogen
