Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older.
- You are admitted to the hospital with very low blood pressure (systolic 90 or less and MAP 65 or less).
- Your blood lactate is above 2 mmol/L, which supports that the shock is from low blood volume.
- Doctors must be able to identify the cause of your low-blood-volume shock right away.
- You cannot be pregnant.
- You cannot have had CPR before the study begins or have a “do not resuscitate” order.
